IG: Ballina RSL Park, New South Wales

Today having a look back at the recent trip that I took to Ballina in Australia, located on the northern coast of New South Wales. It is a lovely spot to visit for a couple of days and can be a good spot to use as a base for day trips to a couple of other local areas.

But one thing that is great to do on a nice afternoon in Ballina is take a walk along the banks of the Richmond River. This spot is at the Western end of the walk and is in the Ballina RSL Memorial Park.

If you head off from here to the East you can follow the water’s edge for some way. Then with a few deviations, it is possible to walk all the way to Byron Bay, a walk that is an annual charity event, but I think could be completed at any time.
